I have noticed over the past few years, that my eyelashes are no longer what they used to be. They are thinner, shorter and easily irritated. When I over emphasize with blackest black mascara, or try to augment with false lashes, I achieve a scary clown effect. Those of us over 50 will understand my dilemma.
At my hairdresser’s I spend time under bright lighting and am placed in front of a mirror for an hour or so, giving me time to stew on every wrinkle and detail (while my hair looks awesome). So when I see products like EyEnvy at the front desk, I’m happy to spend $79, when I am usually quite frugal.
EyEnvy is a conditioner for the base of your eyelashes. It is supposed to help “improve the length, volume and thickness of both eyelashes and eyebrows”, with vitamins and peptides. It is to be applied to the skin of the eyelid every day for 3 months.
I used the product faithfully for 3 months, applying it every day to clean eyelids (just at the lashline), well before applying makeup. I cannot say that my eyelashes are longer. I can say that my eyelash line is less irritated, my eyelashes seem to be softer, and I seem to be losing fewer eyelashes. So there is no magic, but it seems like a good thing. After 3 months of use, I think it’s a good idea to throw out the product and get a new package.
