It’s another snow day today, and I’m staying home today hearing too much about the Coronavirus and the warning from Nancy Messonnier, director of the CDC’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases – suggesting that our lives may be impacted by it’s spread – that perhaps we should make plans for if we have to stay home. Just what we wanted to hear. I am thankful for the freedom to be able to stay home when we need to, and pray for those who are affected by this illness.

On a positive note, I had posted that I had ordered contact lenses and glasses last week online without visiting my optometrist. I had received the contact lenses last week within 2 business days of the order. (Ordered on a Sunday, before a holiday Monday – received Wednesday). The glasses were to take a few days to manufacture and ship, and were scheduled for March 2, which was fine with me. I was surprised then to receive my glasses today via Canada Post. (7 business days from order).

They are nice and light and fit perfectly. I used the fit instructions on the website, and I had tried on the glasses virtually using my computer web-camera and the Clearly Try-on App. It actually worked. I have a little anxiety about trying on all the glasses in the Optometrist’s store and I generally don’t make a decision – so this worked for me – and no try-on germs!
In Canada Clearly.ca is the company that I ordered from, and in the USA, Coastal.com is the related source.
This site contains affiliate links for which I may receive a small commission if you place an order, but will not result in any other cost to you! I am posting affiliate links only for products and companies that I actually use myself, and am happy with the order process!
In the meantime, I am grouting my ceramic tile, updating my Mr. Beer part 2 post, propagating my geraniums (a little racy, I know!) and hoping that someone else shovels the sidewalk.
