Here in Canada it is not Thanksgiving! We celebrated back in October. Today we are making a turkey and watching a little bit of NFL football – joining our American neighbours, just for fun. I hope that you enjoy your day and make many happy memories.
I am feeling a little lazy today about posting, and so I am re-posting some turkey pictures from years gone by.
This turkey kept crossing the road in our neighbourhood. There are many of them around, but this one doesn’t seem to be nervous of cars.

Have a lovely day!
I like your blog. I just wanted to leave a note thanking you for your recent visit to Daily Ramblings. Thanks a bunch! Happy Holidays! Best, Dave
You are welcome. I like the positive thinking on Daily Ramblings (and the baby joke!)
Thank you. I try to find something that will help people get a giggle at the end of a hard week. Sometimes it flops, but this one got me. I laughed out loud when I read it and had to share. Thanks for stopping by and your comments. They are always welcome. Best, Dave
Great picture!!
Thanks Bernice. Turkeys are so silly. There’s one that keeps jumping out into the road at a traffic circle near me – but I can’t stop to take a picture.
Lol love it!
Thank you!
You’re welcome
I hope you’re having a lovely and safe Thanksgiving celebration. I rather wish ours were now, too, with so much uncertainty. Blessings!
Thank you Angela. It will be small for us this year, but we are looking forward to our celebration. Hopefully November will bring good news for American Thanksgiving. Maybe we will have turkey again then! Blessings to you as well.
Happy Thanksgiving to you & yours. Love the pics – chuckled over the one where the turkey is heading to McDonald’s.
Turkeys are so fun to watch. There is one near us that tends to pop out at a busy traffic circle. He always escapes but he’s to fast to catch on camera! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family as well!
We raised turkeys quite a few years ago now, but I found them so funny. They’d gobble, no doubt thinking I was bringing food, every time they’d catch sight of me. I’d have “conversations” with them. It was hilarious.
They always make me laugh, and I wonder what they’re thinking!
That would be good to know, and not just what turkeys are thinking but animals and birds in general. 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope you had a wonderful day!
So why did the turkey cross the road? It’s a rhetorical question, but somebody had to ask. 🙄
Well, one of the turkeys in the photos was running across the road to McDonalds!
Happy Thanksgiving Lillie!🍁🙏🥂
Thank you Cindy. I hope you are having a great holiday weekend!
And why did the turkey cross the road?
I don’t think even the turkey knows Margaret. There’s one that hangs near at a local traffic circle I’d love to get a picture of – but I’m always driving when I see him.
The turkeys are almost marauders here, traveling in huge flocks! My daughter had several dozen in her garden last week, luckily most everything had been harvested!
Oh gosh – I had never of them as ruining the garden – they are always running across the road – or straight ahead of my car as I drive! They always seem to be in a panic.
Yes, they love to do that here too! And they are so BIG!
Thank you, our Thanksgiving was special. Wild turkeys are interesting creatures!
They are so funny!
